Chief Ralph Justice Oxendine has been the Chief of The Sumter Band of Cheraw Indians from the beginning.  He is a Christian man with very high morals.  He is the son of Annie Mae Oxendine Miller and Dewey Oxendine.  His ancestors as is ours our indigneous to this continent.  He has worked very hard to keep peace and harmony amongst our people.  Our Chief believes in his people and preserving our Native American Ancestry.  He has worked very hard to teach other family and Tribal members of their Ancestry.  We look forward to him leading our people the right way to meet our goals at hand.
